The Prayer for the Feast of the Nativity of Mary "O newborn Mary, we bless you and honor you": “O nascent Mary, how great and august You are Princess of heaven: if Your beginnings are so advantageous, to what degree will Your perpetual progress be raised? You begin from Your birth to accomplish the wishes of the patriarchs, the predictions of the prophets, and the expectation of all mankind: it is for this, O most holy Child, that all nations bless You, and that we honor Your cradle: we know that You have already conceived in Your soul, He who must form a body of Your very pure blood. O blessed daughter of David, who derive Your origin from the patriarchs and kings, and from the prophets of the Lord, and yet who are born in poverty! Teach us to glory only in the happiness of being children of God and heirs of His kingdom: help us, remembering constantly Your spiritual birth, to flee the corruption of the age, to live only by the Spirit of J. C., with which we were clothed in Baptism. We conjure You, by the purity of Your birth, to obtain for us the Help of heaven, so that by continual violence, we preserve the Grace of Baptism, or that we recover it by sincere penance so that we can at least find ourselves at death in the same dispositions in which You were born. O Mary! Name which is a Source of Grace, I invoke You. O Mary! Remember me now and at the hour of my death. Amen
